JACE Training offers four of the most up to date sector-essential First Aid qualifications.

HABC Highfield Level 3 – Award in Paediatric First Aid

Whether a business owner, manager or an individual, the Level 3 Award in Paediatric First Aid is designed for people caring for children in any setting. It is suitable for au pairs, nannies, child minders, nursery and pre-school workers, sport and leisure staff, crèche leaders, parents and any persons responsible for the welfare of children.

The Paediatric First Aid training course is recognised by Ofsted and includes the requirements of the appointed person in the workplace.

How long do the courses take?

The course takes 2 days. JACE can deliver the course on week days or over two consecutive Saturdays.

Emergency Paediatric First Aid

In line with Ofsted Early Years and Childcare Register requirements, at least one person who has a current full paediatric first aid certificate must be on the premises and available at all times when children are present and must accompany children on outings. This one-day course focuses on emergency scenarios that may face those looking after babies and young children. This course is suitable for people working with and caring for babies and young children.

The course will help you to understand the role and responsibilities of the emergency paediatric first aider, have the ability to assess an emergency situation and prioritise your actions.

How long do the courses take?

One day course. Successful candidates will receive a St John Ambulance certificate, which is valid for three years.

Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work

It is a requirement of Health & Safety law that employers should ensure the health and safety and welfare of their employees and the public.

Employers must provide adequate personnel, training and equipment, for first aid to be administered to the employees. Accredited by Highfield, we offer the HABC Level 3 Award in First Aid at Work.

How long do the courses take?

This course is 18 hours long and spread over 3 days. All successful students will be issued with a First Aid at Work Certificate.

Level 3 Award in Emergency First Aid at Work

This course is suitable for people aged 16+ who work in low hazard environments (for example an office or shop) or where Health and Safety Executive (HSE) guidelines’ indicate staff should hold a certificate in emergency first aid at work.

It gives learners the skills and confidence to respond to a range of accidents and first aid emergencies they could encounter in the workplace.

How long do the courses take?

This is a one day course. On successful completion candidates will receive an emergency first aid at work certificate, which is valid for three years.
